Smith chosen as president-elect of NCACTE

Director of Assessment & Accreditation Brad Smith, Ed.D. ’19, has been selected as the president-elect of the North Carolina Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
His three-year term as president-elect will prepare him for a subsequent three-year term as president, where he will lead the organization as the lead advocacy group for policy issues regarding teacher preparation in North Carolina. Smith is well prepared for this role, as he’s chaired NCACTE’s advocacy and policy committee for several years.
NCACTE is the organization that unites teacher educators in both public and private colleges and universities, staff and faculty in state-created initiatives and consortia, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to discuss best practices and support systems for teacher preparation and education.
