My name is Michelle Salus and I am a Senior from Lewisville, North Carolina majoring in Special Education-general curriculum and minoring in Child and Family Development. I am truly grateful and love being a Mebane Scholar as it has brought me additional opportunities to engage with my community and school personnel, make connections with community teachers, and increase my skills in teaching students with disabilities. I am completing my student teaching at Huntersville Elementary School this Spring 2024. After I graduate in May 2024, my goal is to teach k-5 in a resource setting in my hometown Forsyth County Schools area.
