FTNC: Teaching Simulation (Group A)

3. Intro to content (Middle Grades & High School): You are going to have the opportunity in one room to teach a brief segment of a lesson (3-5 minutes). While suggested content is provided (e.g., Outsiders, Pythagorean Theorum, Bill of Rights, structure of a cell), you can choose any topic of your choice, but do keep in mind that the students in your virtual classroom will probably be 8th graders. It does not need to be a whole lesson (have people do how to shoot a basketball, declaration of independence. If interested in this session, please think in advance of what you might want to discuss with students. It can be very brief (less than 5 minutes).
4. Leading a Morning Circle (ECE): Students who choose to attend this session will have the opportunity in one room to start a morning circle activity on a topic of their choice (e.g., days of the week, weather like, favorite color). The goal is to get kids excited about the lesson, and to get them focused.
