My name is Caitlin McGennis and I am a senior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Reading. I am grateful to be a Mebane Scholar because it has provided me the opportunity to get out into the community and provide families with literacy support. We also participate in research and tutoring that benefits not only us but other students. I am currently a student teacher at Berewick Elementary School. After graduation in May 2024, I am teaching in 2nd Grade at Niner University Elementary.
