Guofeng Shen

Guofeng Shen, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and Child Development at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Shen’s professional background includes experience as a P-12 special education teacher and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst across clinical, home, community and school settings. Her research focuses on social communication skills, challenging behaviors in students with autism and other disabilities, caregiver training/coaching, family-professional partnerships, emphasizing the culturally, linguistically and economically diverse populations. Additionally, her work explores teacher preparation and professional development. Shen has taught numerous courses in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and special education, contributing to the field through peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences.

Her professional service includes active engagement with the Council for Exceptional Children (DEC, TED, and DADD divisions), Colorado and North Carolina Associations for Behavior Analysis, and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
