Whitney Settlemier is a University Supervisor and Lecturer for the Office of School and Community Partnerships in the Cato College of Education. This is her 23rd year in education. Prior to working with UNC Charlotte, Settlemier served in a variety of roles. Most recently she has served as an Instructional Coach for K-2 teachers in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Before that, she served as an administrator and literacy facilitator at a local charter school in Charlotte. Settlemier has also been a classroom teacher for 15 years, teaching every grade Kindergarten through fifth. Her passions are rooted in strengthening the capacity of each teacher to meet the needs of their students and fostering a continued love of the teaching profession.
