Description: Step into the 2026 NC ELA SCOS! Calling all future educators! Get an early look at the newly adopted 2026 NC ELA Standard Course of Study, scheduled for implementation in the 2027–28 school year. Designed for student teachers and teacher candidates across NC, this interactive webinar will provide a high-level overview of the new standards, their organization, and the fundamental principles that guide them. Participants will also explore key resources—including the unpacking documents, glossary, crosswalk, and vertical progression—to better understand how the standards connect across grade levels and inform classroom instruction. Come ready to explore, ask questions, and build your standards toolkit! This is part 1 of a 2-part webinar series.
