- Dr. Jeanneine Jones received the 2018 North Carolina Association for Middle Level Education Distinguished Service Award
- Dr. Zoi Philippakos received the 2017 New Graduate Alumni Award from the University of Delaware (UD)
- Dr. Chance Lewis was selected as 2016 recipient of the Harshini V. de Silva Award. The award is presented annually to the faculty member who best exemplifies the commitment de Silva, a former UNC Charlotte professor, displayed to graduate student mentorship.
